The Park & Worth Collection
The Creative Director and I conceptualized unique personalities for a few of the new furniture collections introduced at City Furniture. The Park & Worth collection attempts to invoke feelings of your great grandmother’s house in Amagansett, paired with the vivid gradient of the sunsets on Biscayne Bay.
The dichotomy of old meets new is at the very core of the personality of this collection. The collection sports a framework that pays homage to the classic Restoration Hardware style, but combines it with a unique Florida-costal charm.
The name Park & Worth gives a nod to one of the largest emigrant groups in Florida, New Yorkers, who are familiar with two shopping destinations - Park Avenue and Worth Avenue.
The mood board I’ve created pulls together photographs and quotes that help visualize the personality of this collection. It features pages from Take Ivy, a fashion photography book created in the 1960’s that documented fashion of Ivy League students. The mood board also includes pages and excerpts from True Prep: It’s A Whole New Old World and The Official Preppy Handbook, both of which have a very funny perspective on what it means to be Prep. Lastly, the mood board contains various vintage illustrations, paintings, and musings.
Below you will see the mood board, photographs, and a broadcast television commercial for the Park & Worth collection.
